I can’t believe the countdown to the Smoke Out is just under three weeks now. In many ways, trying to piece this together, this has been the craziest year ever.
However, 97% is fitting into place nicely and I’m excited. One innovation — Smoke Out Schedule on your Smart Phone — We are lined up for an epic party. – Edge
Mini Bike Update – Tim Gelay has taken the reigns of all things mini bike related and he has put an incredible amount of work into taking this unique competition to the next level. The mini bike races are not to be missed this year. Also… mini bike drag racing “is a thing.” A thing that is happening at the event this year. Mini bikes will drag race flat out for 330 feet and some break the 70mph mark.
3-Ring Circus – I am one of those people that would rather have some crazy, five-minute fireworks show with everything going off at the same time… than have a thirty-minute show where I get to see everything because they get shot up one at a time. I like intensity. So…no one can see everything happening at the Smoke Out… in just one Smoke Out… but that is by design.
Smoke Out Schedule on your Smart Phone – What we are working on is the schedule though is a digital schedule that gets updated in real time. We are putting the schedule on line this year in a cell phone friendly format. You will be able to type in the url: http://www.smokeoutrally.com/show or turn on your camera and scan the QR code (which is on a post card we are handing out at the front gate). The schedule will pop up.
Social Media Tags – Please use the #SmokeOutRally, #SO19 and #RideEveryDay for our tags. If you use Snapchat we also have a Geotag with the Smoke Out logo. Please help us get this “GTP” pic up EVERYWHERE on social media.
We need your help – This is a critical year for the Smoke Out. Please contact everyone you can and tell them the Smoke Out IS ON!! Seriously… I have been absolutely stunned by the overwhelming support at times and I cannot adequately express my thanks. See you soon.
