Legion of the Long Road Lounge

I have wanted to take the Long Road® Lounge to the next level and this year we have the man to do it. Jimmy Caldwell has taken this project and he is working with a committee of volunteers to take the lounge to a new level in 2013

What is the Long Road (LR) Lounge? 
It is a private VIP area at the Smoke Out for LR riders to relax. We’re still working out details for the 2013 lounge but it will be similar to 2012, but BETTER!

Who gets in?
Riders that have completed the Long Road this year and Members of the Legion of the Long Road that present their LR medallion (and their photo ID matches the information on the web). BRING YOU MEDALLIAN!! Contact Jimmy by e-mail or text for admittance questions. You cannot buy your way in. The only way to get in, is to ride in by earning a medallion.

How is this supported?
Completely by donations (see Jimmy in the lounge) and what little money cheap-ass Edge pitches towards it. It is based on the concept of “Volunteerism” and this Lounge will be anything our sub-culture makes it. The lounge is being run this year by a small team of volunteers some of whom will miss part of the ride so we can have our lounge.
