They will call the first toast and fuel the debauchery until long after last call. They strike life into tired soles and spur friendships between total strangers. They unite the wicked and amaze the innocent, and promise to leave every ear yearning for more.
They deliver a full sound that drives through a room like an 18-wheeler with no brakes careening through a mountain pass!

They hail from the land of blue smoke and white lightening and manage to meld the traditions of Ireland, the rhythms of Appalachia and the bite of punk into every setting they invoke.
They are five talents united in their passion for music, drink and mischief, and promise to destroy the burden of musical monotony. They are Cutthroat Shamrock and they are paving the way in Appalachian Celtic Punk.
Cutthroat Shamrock started about eight years ago when high school friends Derek McRotten and Benjamin Whitehead started branching out from their punk rock roots and exploring the more traditional sounds of their Smoky Mountain home.
“For most of me and Ben’s life, we’ve grown up with that type of music, living in the mountains,” McRotten said. “We’d done the punk music for so long, we just made the transition to that type of music, getting back to our roots.”
With the addition of Guido Greaserag on standup bass, drummer Suavo and hand percussionist Johnny Hyena to the group, the result is a divine blend of bluegrass, punk, and celtic crying out to be heard. Singing with the souls of many of their fore-mothers and fathers.
